New Video - One Minute at Screen Stockport 2013 ( @screenstockport ) with music from @SeanARogan
A few weeks ago I presented a time-lapse workshop at No/Gloss Film Festivaland I decided to share all the resources I made for the workshop with yourselves, trying to create a one-stop shop in everything about time-lapses. Below is the tutorial I made for
A one-stop shop of everything time-lapse in under five minutes ranging from setting up to post production. Raw or JPEG, which shutter speed to use, and the type of equipment needed to achieve effective time-lapses all are covered in this video.
New One Minute Videos coming - here is the Holga Lens Test video
A Film Annex blog about why I like time-lapses and No/Gloss Film Festival preparation
STUDENT Tom Chimiak’s latest film is to feature at a prestigious festival. The Staffordshire University film production student’s film, A Creative Interpretation, will be shown in the Advance Guard/Art…
Some lovely bit of promo for A Creative Interpretation being selected for Portobello Film Festival 2013
Over 200 views in less than 24 hours on an interesting lens test video of the Holga lens.
My next short video is a lens test video for the Holga Lens attachment to a Canon DSLR camera, entitled One Minute in the Gardens
Utilising the very warm weather here in England as well as the bright sun, due to the lens fixed f16 aperture, I shot in the local park.
Currently my frequent composer, Sean Rogan, is working his magic over the video to create a nice summery soundtrack.
I will upload the finished video and put a link here as soon as it is live on the web.
Friday’s Short Film of the Week - Foals - My Number by Us

My new blog on Film Annex about Graduation and my next step
Films added so far - The Rhythm, The City, 7pm, Lights and Bokeh, check out the web TV.
More in the coming weeks
My films will slowly be gathered on Film Annex too, including some exclusive shorts for only the Web TV
University has ended now, graduation next week, finally got a degree of class 2:1 to my name. Proud.
However, the work does not end there, I have a MA interview coming up for Fine Art, and I have continued to create / film for short film projects (test videos / summer video)
Another development is my increased usage of the online community hitrecord.org - where footage can freely be remixed and given a new lease of life into short films and now part of TV shows. Recently some clips of Lights were edited into a ‘Flickering Lights’ theme - the end result can be viewed here -
So trying to keep to keep busy creative and pushing myself forward to achieve what I set my mind too.
Hope everyone is having a great summer.
